Position Overview:
As a Financial Planning Business Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering financial guidance to our clients within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, part of the Corporate Enterprise Portfolio Management team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Strategic Partnership:** Act as a strategic business partner, assisting clients in establishing moderately complex financial processes that yield valuable insights for informed financial and strategic decisions.
2. **Business Understanding:** Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business operations through discussions and analyses, identifying financial needs and building trust as a business partner.
3. **Financial Initiatives:** Design and implement various financial initiatives focused on process improvement and performance measurement to effectively achieve financial and business objectives.
4. **Proactive Insights:** Provide relevant financial insights on business performance to support decision-making, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
5. **Consultative Expertise:** Offer guidance and recommendations to internal client groups, ranging from middle management to senior executives, regarding special initiatives and unique business cases while adhering to established guidelines and risk management practices.
6. **Coaching and Development:** Advise clients on developing business and cost driver analyses, monthly forecasts, and long-term financial plans, including budget allocations and assumptions used in financial models.
7. **Management Reporting:** Support the development of management reporting and financial modeling, identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions based on thorough research and analysis.
8. **Process Improvement:** Identify and map non-value-added processes, assessing current financial processes to recommend meaningful improvements in efficiency.
9. **Financial Planning Guidance:** Coach and guide the documentation of financial plans, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide integrated planning.
10. **Performance Measurement:** Implement and oversee the delivery of management reports containing quantitative and qualitative analyses, providing strategic insights into performance drivers and contributing to recommendations for optimizing client performance.

Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or commerce.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in finance, business analysis, and strategy support.
- Knowledge of relevant financial, legislative, and regulatory environments.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing projects.
- Proficiency in various software applications and planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Bilingualism in English and French is required.
- An MBA or professional designation (CA, CFA, CGA, CMA, CPA) is preferred.
