As an Electrical Technologist at Agnico Eagle, you will be part of a collaborative team within the Infrastructure Department, reporting directly to the Electrical Superintendent. Your primary focus will be on assisting, supporting, and integrating new electrical components across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and maintain control drawings, P&ID, SLD, and BOM to ensure seamless electrical system integration.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards during the design phase, guaranteeing high-quality electrical infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to the Capital Projects department, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
  • Develop comprehensive electrical SOWs to meet project requirements.
  • Review and comment on IFR drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan and schedule work for the electrical construction team, optimizing project timelines and resources.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance electrical system performance.

Requirements:

  • Related Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree.
  • Proven expertise in system integration, with a strong understanding of medium and high voltage distribution systems, protection, and control.
  • Technical knowledge of switchgear, breakers, MCCs, VFDs (ABB ACS800, ACS880, and ACS6000 series), and process control systems (PLC).
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Experience working in a remote site is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
