Housekeeping Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at the Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Châteaux property located on the stunning West Coast of Vancouver Island.

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our high standards of cleanliness and hospitality are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental standards
  • Manage budgets and financial records for the Housekeeping Department
  • Source and purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years management or leadership experience in the service industry or 4 years of experience in a housekeeping department
  • Excellent guest service skills and ability to exceed guest expectations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of standard operating financial statements and budgeting process
  • Working knowledge of relevant platforms, including Maestro PMS and Microsoft Office suite
  • WHMIS knowledge and/or certification
