Job Description
The Product Development Engineer - Chassis Systems - Steering Design Release Specialist will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, and production release of Chassis components and/or systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic brake system development, electronic stability control systems, and automotive communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Chassis components and/or systems, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Chassis systems with other vehicle components.
- Develop and implement testing and validation strategies to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Interpret design requirements and translate them into production-ready specifications.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineers, managers, and customers, to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in electronic brake system development.
- Knowledge of electronic stability control systems, calibration, and diagnostic experience using automotive controls system development environments.
- Intermediate knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including CAN networks, electrical/EMC requirements, environmental requirements, FMEA, and functional safety analysis (ISO 26262 norm).
- Intermediate knowledge of automotive vehicle electrical system architectures.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles, electrical hardware and software design concepts, and testing and validation tools.
- Proven record of interpreting requirements from design to production.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
