Job Summary

Sunbury Transport Limited is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods across various routes, including local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul routes.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a Truck Driver.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, as well as trip recorders (on-board computers).
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: Local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul routes.
  • Security and Safety: Valid passport, basic security clearance, criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract), and drug test.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, repetitive tasks, sitting, and up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, and team player.
