About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at the Department of Finance and Treasury Board. As a key member of our financial advisory services team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to various departments across the organization.

Your primary accountabilities will include:

  • Performing and coordinating day-to-day financial operations, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) and government accounting policies.
  • Providing financial advice and recommendations to directors, managers, and program managers on matters related to accounting, audit procedures, and financial policies.
  • Developing and delivering training programs for clients and staff on financial procedures and policies.
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial processes and transactions for compliance and efficiency.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in accounting, finance, and financial analysis. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
