Job Title: Technical Specialist, Audio Visual

Job Summary:

The Technical Specialist, Audio Visual is responsible for the setup and operation of audiovisual systems for live events, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. This role reports to a Project Manager, Operations Manager, or Director.

Key Responsibilities:Equipment Operation

• Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of advanced audiovisual equipment.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.

• Comply with all Company security and safety measures.

• Ensure equipment security from theft and/or damage when in use.

Customer Service

• Provide exceptional service and strive to exceed internal and external customer expectations.

• Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.

• Collaborate with internal teams on event solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Training/Staff Development

• Foster an atmosphere that promotes technical and leadership skill development in colleagues.

• Provide mentorship and coaching to technical, sales, and operations team members.

• Develop subject matter expertise in the discipline of specialty.

Event Supervision

• Perform advanced work with operations team members.

• Supervise and direct other technicians during events.

Equipment Maintenance

• Assist with equipment security, storage, transportation, and maintenance.

• Perform inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.

Requirements:Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• 3+ years of event technology experience with a specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video required.

• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

• Internal team members must meet all training requirements to be eligible to apply.

• Technical 1-Star, Professional 200, and (1) Technical Level 300 in A/P/V/L experience required.

• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse workforce, customer base, and senior management.

• Strong customer, client, and coworker interface experience and abilities.

• Valid driver's license required for team members operating Company vehicles.

• Additional DOT requirements may apply.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Hotel

Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.

Warehouse

Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
