About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team at President's Choice Financial. As a key member of our Compliance organization, you will play a critical role in managing our Regulatory Compliance Management System (RCMS) and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage PC Bank's RCMS, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain an inventory of governing legislation and controls, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review new legislation and changes to existing laws, collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance controls and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Participate in the Business Compliance Officer (BCO) oversight program, promoting awareness of governing legislation and identifying potential issues.
  • Execute risk assessment and monitoring programs to evaluate control effectiveness and identify material exposures to regulatory risk.
  • Identify and manage instances of non-compliance, ensuring timely remediation and reporting to relevant committees.
  • Review business controls to ensure they meet regulatory requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Train and advise employees on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Assist in reporting to the Operational Risk Management Committee and Conduct Review Committee of the Board, providing insights on PC Bank's compliance posture.
  • Participate in governance meetings for outsourced service providers, ensuring effective oversight and management.
  • Provide advice and support to business stakeholders on compliance requirements, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Support the implementation and day-to-day functionality of the eGRC System, enhancing our RCMS capabilities.
  • Develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders to execute the Bank's Regulatory Compliance Management framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or a similar function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Knowledge of eGRC systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal accountability, honesty, and integrity, with a friendly and outgoing attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently towards deadlines.
