As a Methods Team Leader at Bombardier Transportation GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a dedicated team of both salaried and unionized Methods professionals, ensuring robust support for our production operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and mentor a diverse team of Methods employees, fostering a collaborative environment on the production floor.
- Guarantee the thorough execution of Functional Test Procedural instructions, striving for comprehensive system testing.
- Align manufacturing goals with operational needs, utilizing an effective First Article Inspection process to confirm that all design modifications meet manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team to provide detailed project timelines, resource allocation, and tooling/process definitions, facilitating a seamless change implementation process.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate team members, ensuring clarity in their roles and contributions towards achieving the Operations Unit objectives.
- Engage in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Employ BOE tools to promote best practices across all deliverables and identify improvement opportunities, particularly through the establishment of new multi-functional teams.
- Ensure full integration of the team into the Global Aircraft platform, promoting a unified approach.
- Confirm that appropriate resources are in place to meet anticipated workload demands while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule.
- A post-secondary degree and/or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Engineering, Methods, or Quality within the aerospace sector is required; a technical background is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in supervising teams, with preference for candidates who have managed technical teams or supervised unionized staff, as well as those with cross-functional experience.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of the Bombardier Manufacturing System, Bombardier Engineering System, and Aircraft Systems; familiarity with MRB is a plus.
- A strong customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- A positive approach to problem-solving that sets a standard for the organization.
- Ability to work autonomously with a proactive, results-driven, and innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement, demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
