Barminco is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Foreperson to join our team at the Hemlo Mine in Ontario, Canada.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of mine mobile equipment, and implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies to maximize production capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and repair plans for all mining equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide team members to improve performance and develop skills.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to reduce risks and variations.
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma or degree in Maintenance/Mechanics field.
  • Valid Mechanical/Trades Licenses.
  • Minimum 10 years of mine maintenance experience, including underground and surface equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years in a maintenance supervisory role with experience mentoring and developing teams.
  • Experience in conventional and mechanized mining.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or Pronto.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
