Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technologist, Critical Care

Department: Critical Care

Location: Calgary, AB

Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our Critical Care Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality critical care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical care services to emergency and CC patients
  • Work closely with Critical Care Specialists and Emergency technicians to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with the Emergency Service team to ensure efficient triage and ICU patient care
  • Assist with patient monitoring, medication administration, and other critical care procedures

Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) certification
  • Previous ER experience and a strong desire to provide exceptional patient care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
