Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a dedicated individual to support our preschool program. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing educational plans tailored for preschool-aged children.
  • Documenting children's progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized classroom setting.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and contributing positively to the team.
  • Exhibiting reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Engaging comfortably with children across various age groups.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must hold certification from the PEI Child Care Board. Preference will be given to those with Early Childhood Educator (ECE Level 3) certification, though Early Childhood Assistants (Level 2) will also be considered. A Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid/CPR certification are mandatory.

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
