Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Consultant to join our team at the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. As a key member of our Financial Services Branch, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and reports, budgeting and forecasting future financial results, analyzing and overseeing the processing of financial information, and developing, implementing, monitoring, and recommending changes to various financial, accounting, and management processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement new accounting processes, procedures, and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams and corporate programs.
  • Develop and maintain strategic networks and business relationships.
  • Manage and provide advice regarding complex and confidential issues.
  • Develop and maintain all budgets, fiscal forecasts, and financial reports.
Requirements
  • A degree in Commerce or Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance supplemented by five (5) years of experience.
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial acts, regulations, and policies.
  • Knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of information systems.
