Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fuel Delivery Vehicle Operator to join our team at Central Ontario FS, a division of GROWMARK, Inc. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of fuel oil and other hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Vehicle Management: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Payment Processing: Handle transactions for goods delivered.
  • Inspection Duties: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Communication: Relay important information to central dispatch and maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling: Transport and manage dangerous goods in accordance with regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Licenses: DZ class license and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
Documentation Skills
  • Proficient in maintaining accident reports, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbooks, and inspection reports.
Work Environment

This position is primarily an on-the-road job, requiring flexibility in working hours, ranging from 40 to 70 hours per week.
