We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at NorthSask Special Needs Inc. The successful candidate will provide personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Household Management: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting social interaction and a sense of belonging.
- Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments, activities, and other destinations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Mental health first aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
- Language: English or French language proficiency.
Our Home Care Workers will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, community centers, and other locations. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.
