Job Overview:

This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily functions of distribution and operational activities. The successful candidate will manage a team of drivers and operational technicians, ensuring the smooth running of multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating monthly safety meetings and implementing comprehensive safety programs.
  • Overseeing vacation schedules and managing cost transfers for various teams.
  • Communicating weekly updates, including rundowns and headcounts.
  • Coordinating necessary training and assessments for staff.
  • Supervising truck drivers and operational personnel to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintaining the condition of delivery units and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, and training new drivers to fill vacancies.
  • Ensuring that training records are meticulously maintained and that all required training is completed.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization in distribution and operational areas.
  • Collaborating with management to sustain high productivity levels.
  • Managing fleet maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Contributing to productivity initiatives by identifying and implementing cost-saving projects.

This position may require occasional travel between sites.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or operations.
