Job Overview:
This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily functions of distribution and operational activities. The successful candidate will manage a team of drivers and operational technicians, ensuring the smooth running of multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating monthly safety meetings and implementing comprehensive safety programs.
- Overseeing vacation schedules and managing cost transfers for various teams.
- Communicating weekly updates, including rundowns and headcounts.
- Coordinating necessary training and assessments for staff.
- Supervising truck drivers and operational personnel to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining the condition of delivery units and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conducting interviews, hiring, and training new drivers to fill vacancies.
- Ensuring that training records are meticulously maintained and that all required training is completed.
- Upholding cleanliness and organization in distribution and operational areas.
- Collaborating with management to sustain high productivity levels.
- Managing fleet maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
- Contributing to productivity initiatives by identifying and implementing cost-saving projects.
This position may require occasional travel between sites.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or operations.
