About the Role:
As a Project Engineer at AirBoss of America Corp, you will play a critical role in managing and executing capital projects from concept to completion. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project scope of work and objectives, involving all relevant departments and personnel to ensure technical feasibility.
- Manage complex capital projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and project scope.
- Coordinate with internal resources, vendors, and contractors for seamless project execution.
- Execute capital projects using project management methodology for plant operating improvements and change management tools.
- Supervise field work performed by contractors and consultants.
- Ensure a safe working environment for contractors and service providers.
- Prepare capital packages with supporting documents, correspondences, comparisons, and cost-saving analysis.
- Assist in developing operating plans and budgets, capital projects, and long-term strategic planning.
- Update and maintain AutoCAD files related to plant equipment, power distribution, and projects.
- Lead by example in adhering to plant Health & Safety policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering, or automation.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, task assignment, and budgeting.
- PMP or PEO designation is considered an asset.
- Proven track record of implementing multi-disciplinary capital projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Excellent negotiating, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Travel required (20% within North America).
