Job Summary

The Badminton Coach will be responsible for leading our competitive badminton programs, developing and implementing training plans, and motivating athletes to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in badminton coaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training plans for our competitive badminton programs, including practice schedules, drills, and game strategies.
  • Coaching: Provide expert coaching to athletes of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, strategy, and sportsmanship.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate our badminton teams, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on team progress and athlete development.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing badminton tournaments and events, ensuring smooth logistics and a positive experience for athletes and spectators.
  • Player Development: Identify and develop talented young athletes, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Mandarin Badminton Inc. at community events and promote badminton as a sport, encouraging participation and development at all levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in badminton coaching or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Air-conditioned, non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, local sports club.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics.
