Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Designer to join our team in Edmonton or Calgary. This individual will work closely with our design and engineering teams to create high-quality electronic plans, technical drawings, and documents for various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and compliant CAD working plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with design team members to ensure design documents meet deadlines.
  • Work with the engineering team to make necessary alterations to drawings.
  • Complete documentation packages and produce document sets.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Assist with project closeout and completion of project metrics.
  • Manage and report personal progress against project budgets and schedules.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Electrical or Engineering design and drafting technology, or relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate 4-8 years of electrical design experience in the oil and gas or related industry.
  • Professional Engineering designation with ASET.
  • Experience working on technical projects and project budgets.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, including 2D and 3D modeling functions.
  • Expert knowledge of 3D design software, including CADWorx or AutoPLANT.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs.
