About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the logistics and supply chain operations of the Government of Canada - Central. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, coordinating work, and establishing financial and administrative controls.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to optimize logistics and supply chain operations.
  2. Authorize and establish major departments and senior staff positions to support logistics and supply chain functions.
  3. Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure effective logistics and supply chain operations.
  4. Establish financial and administrative controls to ensure efficient use of resources.
  5. Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions to promote logistics and supply chain interests.
  6. Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to support logistics and supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Ability to work on site and not remotely.
