Position Overview:

This role presents a unique opportunity to join a respected independent asset management firm at a crucial juncture in its growth. Fiera Capital is in search of an outstanding and driven leader to contribute to the firm's evolution and influence the next stage of our institutional business expansion in Canada.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO of Fiera Canada and Global Private Wealth, the successful candidate will take a pivotal role in the firm's initiatives to distribute Fiera Capital's strategies across the burgeoning financial intermediaries' market in Canada. Key responsibilities will encompass business development and service delivery to enhance the retention of existing intermediary partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Canadian Institutional Business Development to devise and implement a sales strategy targeting intermediary channels in Canada.
  • Leverage established strategic relationships to generate new business opportunities and ensure revenue growth by cultivating strong executive-level connections with Canadian financial intermediaries.
  • Support the business development team in achieving sales targets through the identification and execution of new selling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Enhance Fiera's brand recognition within the Canadian financial intermediaries' marketplace.
  • Foster long-term client relationships by delivering proactive and exceptional service.
  • Lead the servicing of financial intermediaries' relationships and oversee the development of strategies to improve retention levels.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of client needs to identify upselling opportunities.
  • Ensure Fiera provides innovative and top-tier service to its financial intermediaries' clients.
  • Develop a strong grasp of the Fiera Capital platform and identify key strategies for distribution.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and diverse culture within the team and the broader organization.
  • Build strong internal relationships and stay informed about firm strategy and market dynamics.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a strong reputation and a proven history of success in generating revenues within the financial intermediaries' marketplace. They should possess the ability to influence outcomes from both a commercial and relational perspective, with the potential to forge partnerships.

  • 15+ years of experience in the institutional investment management sector in client sales/business development/relationship management roles within the Canadian market.
  • Experience working with financial intermediary clients.
  • Demonstrated success in generating business growth and maintaining long-standing relationships with financial intermediaries in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of a diversified investment platform across traditional and alternative asset classes.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, mathematics).
  • CFA designation or graduate degree is a strong asset.
