Job Summary

CDETNO is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager, Childcare Services to oversee the daily operations of our childcare programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities meet the requirements and standards set by the Child Care Act, the Child Care Regulations, and the Child Care Funding Regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a daily program that aligns with CDETNO's objectives and the requirements of the Child Care Regulations.
  • Supervise the implementation of the program to ensure it meets CDETNO's objectives and the cultural, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.
  • Inform parents of any changes to the program.
  • Ensure the planning and implementation of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the childcare facilities.
Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
  • Ability to ensure a safe and appropriate environment and activities for children.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure children are always supervised and safe.
  • Knowledge of program development, implementation, and evaluation for children.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of relevant human resource management in the field.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
