About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infants' Daycare Worker to join our team at IC Early Learning Center. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding: Ensure the physical needs of infants and toddlers are met, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Child-Care Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Activities: Engage children in storytelling, teaching songs, and leading activities that promote learning and development.
  • Health and Hygiene: Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in early childhood education is an asset.
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, creativity, honesty, and ability to multitask.
