Financial Applications DeveloperWe are seeking a talented Financial Applications Developer to join our growing team within the Technical Centre of Excellence. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of our world-class global insurance accounting system, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams across the globe.
What You'll Do:- Analyze and modify existing applications to resolve issues, enhance performance, and improve interfaces.
- Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain web and desktop software applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and product designs.
- Create user help and support documentation.
- Communicate project updates effectively with management and colleagues.
- Propose improvements to existing programs as needed.
- A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience working within the financial or insurance industry.
- 3+ years of full-stack development experience using ASP.NET and ExtJS (Angular/ReactJS is a plus).
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server).
- Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Model-View-ViewModel and Model-View-Controller patterns.
- Strong DOM knowledge and familiarity with CSS.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Proven expertise in VB.NET and/or C#.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and business concepts quickly.
- Demonstrated understanding of projects from various stakeholder perspectives.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
