About the Role
The Site Manager is a critical member of the Mobilinx team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project specifications, tolerances, and shop drawings.
- Review and approve work methods to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure that technical issues are raised to the Technical Manager in a timely manner for RFIs issuance.
- Perform handover inspections/walks to ensure quality and identify potential issues.
- Manage interfaces between Quality, design, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and analyze deficiency lists and NCRs with superintendents to schedule remedial works.
- Chair daily Plan of the Day meetings to establish daily plans and ensure resources are working efficiently.
- Issue weekly performance reports to Cost Control and review current schedule progress, performance indicators, and resource costs.
- Keep trackwork dashboards updated on a weekly basis and submit progress to cost control and management.
- Continuously optimize schedules based on progress and availability of crews.
- Identify and raise PRs for services, materials, or subcontracts required for the Work and follow up with departments for issuance of POs.
- Monitor % complete of all contracts and ensure change orders are issued before POs are exhausted.
Requirements
- University degree in civil engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
- P3 Project experience (Design-Build etc.) is an asset.
- 7-10 years of proven experience as a Construction Manager within the Heavy Civil market.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
