Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Driver to join our team. As a Collections Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and processing recyclable materials from donation bins and ensuring that all work areas are maintained and cleaned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process recyclable materials from donation bins
  • Maintain and clean all work areas, including product loading areas, collection bin sites, and trailer sites
  • Collaborate with collection supervisors to ensure proper maintenance and replacement of bins as needed
  • Dispose of garbage collected from collection bins to the dump yard and warehouse compactors
  • Scan and access products collected from home pick-up locations and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Schedule product deliveries and pickups to Talize stores as needed
  • Assist the administration team in collecting company supplies from vendors
  • Report any incidents or accidents to immediate supervisor or manager
  • Ensure compliance with company protocols and transportation laws for commercial trucks
  • Maintain vehicles in operational condition
  • Provide excellent customer service to third-party vendors and customers

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a driver or in a similar capacity
  • Minimum 25 years of age
  • Experience driving 18-24 feet truck/vehicle
  • Must have G license with good driver's abstract

Core Competencies:

  • Communication skills - must be able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, prepare reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public
  • Integrity and honesty - must be able to work with complete honesty and dedication by showing up on time and completing tasks as assigned
  • Decision making - clear understanding of the product that needs to be collected from donation sites
  • Tactful and people skills - aware of the surrounding and situations and react accordingly
  • Flexibility - extremely flexible to perform various job duties and adapt to schedule

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to drive for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Physically alert while driving vehicle
