Job Description

Job Title: Continuing Education Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Continuing Education Instructor to join our team at the Grand Erie District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching hairstyling and aesthetics to students in the Intermediate/Senior Divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach hairstyling and aesthetics courses to students in the Intermediate/Senior Divisions
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other educators to ensure a comprehensive learning experience
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in hairstyling and aesthetics

Requirements:

  • Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification
  • Qualified to teach in the Intermediate/Senior Divisions in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations
  • Technological Studies - Hairstyling and Aesthetics certificate of qualification from the Skilled Trades Ontario in good standing

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be required to submit an original Police Record Check (which included a vulnerable sector search) acceptable to the Board prior to the commencement of employment.
