Job Title: Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 3-6 months medical/surgical experience required; 6-8 weeks training provided
  • Current Emergency experience preferred; ICU experience is an asset
  • BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification
  • Coronary Care I & II certificates or the equivalent is preferred or completed within 1 year of your start date
  • ACLS course upon hire or completed within six months of your start date required. Course available through Humber River Health
  • TNCC, PALS or ENPC courses upon hire or completed within 1 year of your start date required
