Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ocean Rain International Daycare Center Inc. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, promoting creativity and imagination.
  • Child Guidance: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while also observing and reporting any signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, ensuring a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Reliability, team player, and strong communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
