About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Daycare Worker to join our team at Curious Montessori Inc. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Storytelling and Creative Expression: Engage children in storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to encourage creativity and self-expression.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to licensing regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.

  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Provide physical, visual, and auditory accessibility accommodations to ensure equal access for all children.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 1-7 months of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
