Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installation Specialist to join our team at Western Carpet Sales and Service Sask Ltd 1980. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile setting and a keen eye for detail.

Education Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Work Environment

The work environment can be dusty, and candidates should be prepared for both commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile installation.
  • Mix, apply, and spread various adhesives including mortar and cement using hand tools.
  • Set tiles accurately and apply pressure to ensure they adhere properly.
  • Align and straighten tiles to maintain a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using both hand and power tools.
  • Pack grout into joints and remove any excess material.
  • Replace cracked or damaged tiles as necessary.
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative designs.
  • Estimate costs and materials needed for projects.
  • Install tile strips as required.
Physical Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, and possess strong hand-eye coordination.

Personal Attributes

A focus on client satisfaction is essential for this role.

Experience

Applicants should have between 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
