Job Summary:The Building Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our retail facilities. This includes scheduled building and floor maintenance, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as light duty cleaning in areas such as open desks, meeting rooms, and boardrooms.
Key Responsibilities:- Scheduled building and floor maintenance
- Sweep, mop, auto-scrub & polish floors
- Light duty cleaning in areas such as open desks, meeting rooms, and boardrooms
- Vacuum carpet
- Clean & disinfect bathrooms
- Stock supply areas
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as reception areas, lunchrooms, stairwells, elevators, meeting rooms, and showers
- Pick up debris and empty trash, organics, recyclables, and cardboard
- Wash interior windows, walls, baseboards, frames, and partitions
- Remove gum and scrape stickers and other build-ups throughout the facility
- Report lost and found items
- Report any complaints from clients
- Provide general feedback about the site
- Inventory management and requesting chemicals/supplies
- Adhere to safety measures, and report deficiencies or infractions
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of team processes and nightly expectations
- Experience is an asset; on-the-job training provided
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Reliable transportation (bus or own vehicle)
- Ability to provide a criminal record check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Initiative, judgment, multi-tasking ability, goal-oriented
- Strong leadership and people skills
- No formal education required
