We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Stocker to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Produce Stocker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our produce department is fully stocked and visually appealing, while also providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Zoning and organizing the produce department to ensure efficient stock rotation and product visibility.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
- Adhering to strict food safety and handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure customer safety.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and inventory management.
- Ensuring the department is fully stocked and ready for business, while also maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Following Health and Safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. business, hospitality, etc.).
- Previous experience in inventory management or stock control.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
