This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team at the Victoria Cool Aid Society, a leading organization dedicated to ending homelessness and improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community.

The Food Prep and Delivery Driver plays a vital role in our collaborative kitchen, responsible for delivering and serving meals at assigned buildings while ensuring food safety practices and exceptional customer service. This position also assists with meal service, interacts with tenants, and helps with food preparation as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years' experience in food service environments, both small and large quantities.
  • Completed Grade 12 education.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's Licence and clear Driver's Abstract.
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification.
  • Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

Job Details

  • Hourly Wage Rate: $29.26.
  • Plus 10.6% in lieu of vacation and sick time.
  • Days of Work: Varied, based on program needs.
  • Shift Time: 9:30am - 5:30pm.
  • Total Weekly Hours: Varies.
  • Union: BCGEU.
  • Work Location: Various locations.

Portability

Candidates upon hire may be eligible to transfer hours worked with other Community Social Services Agencies under the Retention and Portability memorandum. Some restrictions may apply.
