Job Title: Digital Architects

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled Digital Architects to lead solution architecture, guide teams in design, implementation, and vision for user-centric services. As a Digital Architect, you will develop architectural plans, provide recommendations and prototypes for technical discovery and feasibility, and ensure target architecture is created, leveraging common components and capabilities of other digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectural plans and provide recommendations for technical discovery and feasibility.
  • Lead solution architecture and guide teams in design and implementation.
  • Ensure target architecture is created, leveraging common components and capabilities of other digital services.
  • Provide mentorship to the product team and review code changes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and ensure the delivery of user-centric services.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall architecture vision for one or more large-scale custom-build solutions.
  • Experience working as a senior technical resource identifying and advocating technologies and approaches that lead to digital transformation in the public sector context.
  • Experience working as a software architect designing cloud-native solutions that use development stacks and derivative technologies.
  • Experience working with other architects and/or as part of cross-functional teams to identify efficiencies through common services, reusable components, and application programming interfaces.
  • Experience uncovering context from systems in technical discovery and navigating projects through environments with substantial dependency on legacy systems.

Work Environment:

Work is remote, with occasional meetings or work sessions in Edmonton. Successful resources are responsible for providing a computer and software capable of accessing client computer systems for both remote and onsite work. Some travel within Alberta may be required for field research and user interviews.
