About the Role

CMHC is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Senior Developer to join our Technology Solutions Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding a team of Senior Developers and Developers in the development and maintenance of CMHC's business platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex software applications, ensuring they meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Interface with clients to understand their system needs, document business processes, and advise on proposed solutions.
  • Author technical specifications, diagrams, and analysis documents for CMHC's platforms and custom applications.
  • Design and develop logical and physical system models, incorporating business processes and preparing clear analysis documents.
  • Develop and implement technical designs for new or existing computer systems, including hosting, network, databases, processes, error handling, inputs, outputs, reports, and interfaces.
  • Design and implement program structures based on program specifications, ensuring logical soundness and maintainability.
  • Complete application development projects for SDLC implementation into production, particularly programs of higher complexity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in programming, developing, and implementing business applications, with increasing complexity in application development.
  • Leading expertise in at least one of CMHC's application development platforms/environments.
  • Advanced ability to program and design applications to drive business objectives and innovation while meeting requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Solid experience with end-to-end solution implementation, including project planning, estimation, and solution architecture.
  • Experience with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations management, DevOps, and Enterprise Architecture and ITIL frameworks.
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills in both official languages (French and English).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development, and administration.
