Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to grow loyalty and identify immediate and future opportunities.
  • Needs Assessments: Conduct needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, and recommend tailored solutions addressing both sales and service needs.
  • Financial Solutions: Offer clients advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
  • Transaction Support: Support customer transactions needs based on customer traffic.
  • Business Growth: Engage customers to grow BMO's business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community.
  • Quality and Compliance: Address questions and resolve issues raised through consumer credit audits and quality checks to ensure accurate data entry and lending application recommendations in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and lending policies and processes.
  • Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to the portfolio to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio in compliance with requirements for the lending process and established yield, quality, diversification, and risk guidelines.
  • Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and with the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
  • Customer Insights: Probes to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrates marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
  • Work Organization: Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Customer Experience: Take the initiative to find creative approaches that make each customer's experience feel personal.
  • Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the overall customer experience.

  • Escalation: Escalates complex or unresolved customer situations to managers as required.
  • Task Management: Completes complex & diverse tasks within given rules/limits and may include handling escalations from other employees.
  • Issue Analysis: Analyzes issues and determines next steps.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration: Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Lending Qualifications: Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Customer Knowledge: Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products.
  • Financial Services Experience: Experience in financial services is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications.
  • Customer Service Experience: Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $69,500.00 per year, and the pay type is Salaried.

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
