Job Title: Resident Engineer Support

Creaform Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer Support to join our team in Levis or Laval office. As a key member of our numerical simulation team, you will be responsible for modeling and solving complex problems related to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using StarCCM+ software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a consulting engineer for external clients in the field of fluid dynamics numerical simulation.
  • Perform numerical modeling (meshing and analysis) using existing tools (StarCCM+, OpenFoam, LS-Dyna).
  • Prepare 3D geometries for numerical analysis using 3D modelers (NX, CatiaV5, SolidWorks).
  • Perform hand calculations (aerodynamic loading, boundary conditions, material resistance, heat transfer, pressure losses, porous volume, component sizing, etc.).
  • Write analysis reports, summarizing, communicating, and advising clients on necessary modifications.

As a Resident Engineer Support, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise, work closely with other Finite Element and Fluid Dynamics Engineers, and collaborate with technicians, designers, and designers on design projects.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3 years of applied experience in computational fluid dynamics.
  • Concrete experience with StarCCM+ software.
  • In-depth knowledge of fluid flow, aerodynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Knowledge of explosion and shock wave propagation (an asset).
  • Proficiency in one or more 3D design software such as CatiaV5, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, as well as problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
