Cardiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Cardiac Testing-ECG/Holter department, you will be responsible for performing techniques related to Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter and event Recorders, and pacemaker monitoring.
Responsibilities- Perform ECG testing, stress testing, Holter and event Recorders, and pacemaker monitoring using diagnostic cardiac equipment.
- Integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary team using oral, written, and computer communication means.
- Teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
- Organize work, set objectives, and establish priorities to manage time and resources.
- Supervise responsibilities of others and collaborate across disciplines.
- Completion of a Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized Diploma program in Cardiology Technology, plus one year's recent, related experience.
- Current practicing registration with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT).
- Ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
- Ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
