About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items, including portioning and wrapping.
    • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
    • Package take-out food and replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
  • Receiving and Stocking
    • Receive and unpack supplies, including food, cleaning products, and equipment.
    • Store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other designated areas.
  • Garbage and Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including floors, walls, and equipment.
    • Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Will train.
