About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional EHS/Safety Manager to join our team at APG Canada West. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor EHS performance and provide guidance and support to facility leadership and employees.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with facility managers and supervisors to develop and implement training programs to enhance EHS knowledge and skills.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of EHS performance, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-friendly practices.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on EHS performance and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
