About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DZ licensed Driver to join our team at Ryder System, Inc. as a Shuttle Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading transportation company and be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer unit to pick up and deliver goods to clients, suppliers, and company locations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Complete documentation related to driving and delivery functions, such as logbooks and client documentation.
  • Unload goods at client locations using necessary equipment.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts and overtime.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a driver.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and delivery.
  • No more than 1 traffic infraction or accident (other than parking) in the past 12 months.
  • Ability to drive a delivery truck with a standard transmission.
  • Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to read maps and follow verbal geographical instructions.
  • Ability to work with GPS or RydeSmart.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work using health and safety methods.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work and be autonomous in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent tracking practices.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of $22.50.
  • Overtime pay after 9 hours of work.
