About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team at Summit Search Group. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our marine facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage inventory and asset control systems to optimize maintenance operations
  • Coordinate with the Operations Leadership Team to implement and maintain planned maintenance systems
  • Administer and coordinate key elements of the maintenance programs, including work orders, work plans, and safe working procedures
  • Plan, organize, and manage third-party maintenance call-outs
  • Lead by example and enforce safe working practices
  • Support key projects from conception to completion
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in the marine industry performing engineering/maintenance duties
  • Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering from a recognized University or College
  • 3rd or 4th class marine engineer license/trade certification
  • Experience working on electrical components up to 480 V
  • Self-reliance, with the ability to take initiative and make decisions under time constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with MS programs and computerized maintenance management systems
  • Exercise discretion, tact, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Understanding of modern maintenance and reliability best practices
