We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team at Summit Search Group. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our marine facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage inventory and asset control systems to optimize maintenance operations
- Coordinate with the Operations Leadership Team to implement and maintain planned maintenance systems
- Administer and coordinate key elements of the maintenance programs, including work orders, work plans, and safe working procedures
- Plan, organize, and manage third-party maintenance call-outs
- Lead by example and enforce safe working practices
- Support key projects from conception to completion
- 10+ years' experience in the marine industry performing engineering/maintenance duties
- Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering from a recognized University or College
- 3rd or 4th class marine engineer license/trade certification
- Experience working on electrical components up to 480 V
- Self-reliance, with the ability to take initiative and make decisions under time constraints
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with MS programs and computerized maintenance management systems
- Exercise discretion, tact, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Understanding of modern maintenance and reliability best practices
