Role Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will play a vital role in our engineering team, contributing to the development and enhancement of our product offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to design and execute both exploratory and automated tests to guarantee the quality of our products. This position requires a thorough understanding of system requirements, as well as the ability to create and implement effective testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review technical specifications and design documents to provide insightful feedback.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases that are well-structured and detailed.
- Create verification test plans for system performance and resiliency.
- Estimate and prioritize testing activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Design and implement automation scripts using industry-standard tools.
- Document and track defects thoroughly to ensure quality assurance.
- Conduct regression testing to validate bug fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and improve product quality.
- Analyze non-conforming software and assist in training users on effective solutions.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about the latest testing tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software quality assurance field.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance practices and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL and Cassandra.
- Ability to work independently and manage QA responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Experience in testing RESTful APIs and developing automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and experience with tools like Jenkins.
- Excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
