About the Role

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our Employment and Labour Law team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients and colleagues in the areas of employment and labour law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on employment and labour law issues to develop a deep understanding of the law
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Participate in client meetings and provide guidance on employment and labour law matters
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop and implement effective solutions to complex employment and labour law issues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment and labour law and provide guidance to colleagues and clients on these changes
Requirements
  • Called to the Bar in 2024 and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Interest in practicing Employment and Labour Law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
