Job Title: Heavy Duty Tech

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Tech to join our Value Parts department in Regina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, ordering parts, and assembling heavy equipment components in our Regina Rebuild shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment components, diagnose issues, and repair or replace parts as needed.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
Requirements:
  • Certified Journeyperson in the heavy-duty equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
