Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications to program, install, troubleshoot, and verify Simplex Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Electrical Contractors to ensure seamless installation and verification processes.
  • Install and configure electronic components, terminate low-voltage field wiring, and maintain industry best practices.
  • Provide detailed CAN/ULC-S537 Verification Reports and assist with Fire Alarm system design concepts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
  • Completion of a college diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical/Electronic or Licensed Electrician.
  • Working knowledge of provincial building codes and ULC standards S524, S536, and S537.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and electronic test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple large projects accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and express clear technical solutions.
  • Valid driver's license and strong communication skills.
