Our Drilling Services teams are recognized as global leaders in rotary, core, sonic, and percussive drilling applications. Our drillers are not only experienced and knowledgeable but also prioritize safety and are committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Below is a general outline of the duties and responsibilities that may be adjusted by your supervisor as needed. Safety is our utmost priority, and you are expected to stop work immediately if you believe any task is unsafe and report it to your supervisor:
Adhere to all established safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements at all times. Perform all duties safely, ensuring the well-being of both equipment and colleagues. Maintain the overall condition of site equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance. Assist in training new Driller Assistants in a safe and supportive environment. Maintain physical fitness to meet job demands. Follow instructions from a driller or drilling field supervisor, with varying levels of direction based on your competency. Comply with EHS policies and procedures while managing local risk controls. Possess the ability to provide first aid when necessary. Support drilling operations by handling rods and tools, collecting samples, mixing drilling fluids, performing basic maintenance, managing supplies, and conducting pre-start checks. May operate non-drilling equipment such as vehicles, cranes, and forklifts as required. Ensure a safe work environment by applying risk management processes to prevent injuries and equipment damage. Keep accurate records of operations, including daily drill reports and inventory logs. Foster effective workplace relationships and contribute positively to team dynamics. Provide training and mentorship to other field employees through instruction and demonstration of skills.Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Valid First Aid Certification is necessary. Adequate language, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform job-related tasks effectively. Previous labor experience is considered an asset. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Familiarity with various drilling environments and techniques is advantageous. Candidates must meet the standards of the Fitness for Duty program.
