Overview:

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is representing a prestigious client in the agricultural sector, looking for a proficient Agricultural Equipment Mechanic. This role is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in servicing and repairing equipment from leading brands such as John Deere or New Holland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Execute all responsibilities of a Service Technician, including the disassembly, reconditioning, and reassembly of machinery components.
  • Complex Repairs: Carry out intricate diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf machinery.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspections: Participate in PDI tasks as required, although this may not be a regular duty.
  • Specialization: Focus on specific types of equipment as necessary.
  • Field and Shop Work: Engage in both shop-based and field-based work as needed.
  • Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained in peak operational condition.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a Certificate of Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in service and repairs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air-conditioning, and both mechanical and electrical systems related to agricultural and turf equipment, particularly John Deere or New Holland.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A forklift license is advantageous.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to perform fundamental repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment as per Technical Manual guidelines.
  • Willingness to learn about methods, materials, tools, and techniques for agricultural equipment repair.
  • Capability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift weights up to 40 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
