Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Labourer to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for operating various machines, fabricating rebar, and assisting with material handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate overhead cranes, bar benders, and shear machines to fabricate rebar according to specifications.
  • Read and follow bar lists to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Assist equipment operators with material handling and affix identification tags to fabricated rebar bundles.
  • Support with additional assigned tasks as required, including physical labor and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing.
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is an asset.
  • Basic math and measurement skills are an asset.
  • Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong multitasking skills and capacity for teamwork.
